Cyril Dufau-Sansot has been CEO and co-founder of the Hy2gen Group since 2017.

Under his leadership, Hy2gen is a global leader in the development, financing, construction, and operation of 100% carbon-free plants to produce green hydrogen and derivatives.

Prior to founding Hy2gen, Cyril served as President and CEO of AREVA H2GEN, where he successfully transformed the company into a leading manufacturer of PEM electrolysers. His

tenure at AREVA H2GEN was marked by significant advances in the production of CO2-free hydrogen. Before his role at AREVA H2GEN, Cyril was the Managing Director at Viessmann Industrie France.

At Viessmann, he was instrumental in developing the industrial branch globally and initiating the first Power-to-X projects, focusing on the integration of technology with coherent business models for energy production, storage, and usage, particularly in hydrogen, biofuels, grid flexibility, and mobility applications.

Cyril began his career as a technical expert with the French engineering group FIVES, where he gained valuable experience in the energy sector, managing several industrial companies, including a French biomass boiler manufacturer.

Cyril holds an Engineering degree in Energy Systems and Fluid Mechanics from Polytech Marseille.

Holds a master’s degree in engineering, process, electrochemistry and energy from the National Polytechnic Institute of Grenoble.

He is also a graduate of the INSEAD (International Development Program).

Adamo began his career as an engineer for ELF Atochem and Siegwerk for 4 and 5 years.

In 2000, he joined Air Liquide where he quickly moved from a project management position to the management of a unit before becoming Vice President of Sales and Marketing. He has engineering and management skills.

He has extensive knowledge of the gas, energy and high technology industries. In 2009, Adamo plunges into the entrepreneurial adventure co-founder of McPhy Energy, a start-up in the field of energy.

He will contribute to the strong international development of the company (Asia, US, Europe ...) until its successful IPO.

He was also adviser to CEA Liten's CEO, in order to elaborate the French hydrogen roadmap gathering industry and research, for the French ministry of environment.

He built the Green H2 & Green Chemical business line at Thyssenkrupp from 2017 to 2020 (world leader in electrolysis), Nucera today, putting the seeds of large projects like NEOM.

In 2020 he joined Total as Vice President of the newly created Clean Hydrogen Business Unit, at the initiative of several project in the decarbonization area like Masshylia, Hy24.

As head of strategy and content he coordinates the activities of the eFuel Alliance e.V., a platform with more than 170 member companies for the market ramp-up of hydrogen-derived synthetic fuels. After studying energy and environmental management at the University of Flensburg he obtained his doctorate on hydrogen and eFuels business models at the University of St. Gallen. Following his studies, he worked for more than five years in the technical development department of AUDI AG, including on the commissioning of the first industrial power-to-gas plant, electricity procurement concepts, and the market launch of various natural gas vehicles. As the success of synthetic fuels depends more on the political framework conditions than on technical solutions, he joined the German Association of the Automotive Industry (Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V.) in the summer of 2018 and coordinated the political activities related to renewable fuels for more than two years – initially in Berlin and later from Brussels. In February 2021 he joined the consultancy von Beust & Collegen.

Sven is Tractebel’s Commercial Director of Hydrogen and Decarbonization. Passionate about overcoming the challenges of the energy transition, Sven is focusing on bringing to life large-scale hydrogen and decarbonization projects. His almost 30-year career with Tractebel includes 20 years as design engineer and than project manager for multi-contract power and gas projects. He then joined the commercial teams for energy projects, covering renewable and thermal power, power distribution and gas. Currently based in his native Belgium, Sven is deeply committed to engineering a carbon-neutral future.

Dr Chris Malins is an independent consultant on alternative fuels and climate change mitigation and the founder of Cerulogy. He works for clients in government, industry and the NGO sector on issues including renewable fuel policy, carbon removals, lifecycle analysis, and land use change,  in both the EU and U.S. markets. 
Prior to forming Cerulogy Dr Malins spent six years as the fuels lead of the International Council on Clean Transportation. He has a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Sheffield University.

Nicolas Serrie started his career as a project finance analyst at Vinci Concessions in 2005, then at the World Bank (Washington D.C., USA)

in 2006 before joining the French Development Agency in 2008.

He joined the Alstom Group in 2010, first as a manager at the Corporate Strategy Department before leading the Offshore Wind activities of Alstom in France and Belgium.

In 2015, Nicolas joined the General Electric Renewable Business as Executive Key Account Leader.

In 2017 he was appointed Head of Product Management of the GE Hydro business (1 bn$ of annual turnover) as well as President of the business in France (600 employees).

In both capacities, Nicolas was a member of the GE Hydro executive committee.

Before joining KHIMOD as CEO in October 2022, Nicolas was General Manager at Natel Energy where he successfully grew the business in the USA and in Europe through organic growth and acquisitions.

Martin joined the project finance team at SMBC Group in 2022.

Prior joining SMBC Group Martin spent 11 years in business development covering upstream and H2&CCUS at bp Plc and 6 years in M&A with UniCredit energy team. Martin has an extensive experience in respective EU based regulation across H2 and its derivatives including commercial experience negotiating commercial contracts  

During his career in bp he worked on upstream transactions covering arctic, unconventionals including oil sands and conventional upstream oil & gas developments globally. Most recently he focused on developing H2 & CCUS project as a lead on H2Teesside and HyGreen in Teesside UK and supported other H2 & CCUS projects in the Northwest Europe, Middle East and Australia. During his work he was responsible to manage overall relationship with key internal and external stakeholders, negotiating agreements and actively working with governments on H2&CCUS business models.

Before joining bp Martin worked at UniCredit where his was responsible for all stages of M&A process covering energy transactions in Central and Eastern Europe such as privatization of vertically integrated utilities, buy and sell of power generation assets including renewables and district heating companies. 

Martin holds an LLM in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the CEPMLP at University Dundee (2011), an MBA in Financial Management from the Central Queensland University in Australia (2006) and MSc in Transport and Communication from the University Pardubice in the Czech Republic (2004). Martin speaks Czech and English fluently.

Dr. Ulf Neuling joined Agora Verkehrswende in 2022 and leads the work on renewable fuels, aviation and shipping. His work focuses on electricity-based fuels in air and sea transport, and the potential for the transport sector to rely on other energy carriers, such as hydrogen and biofuels. Bevor joining Agora, he headed the Renewable Fuels Group at the Institute for Environmental Technology and Energy Economics at the Technical University of Hamburg.

Dr. Asif Ansar currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Energy System Integration (ESI) at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). His primary focus centers around the development of technologies aimed at reducing carbon intensity in both waterborne and airborne transport sectors. To achieve this, his department, comprising a dedicated team of over 70 professionals, concentrates on advancing the domains of Fuel Cell and Battery powertrains, as well as the generation of hydrogen and its derivatives through cutting-edge Electrolyser technologies. The laboratories are equipped with comprehensive experimental facilities spanning both laboratory to pilot-scale operations. Dr. Ansar's has also served as a member of the Roadmap Leaders Committee of the EU Clean Hydrogen and a steering board member of the EERA Fuel Cell and Hydrogen. He has authored over 80 published papers, multiple book chapters, and secured 10 patents. He attained his doctorate from the University of Limoges, France in 2004.

Richard Grzemba joined Andritz in June 2024 as Market Development Manager. Richard drives forward techno-economic optimization of eFuel–Projects, matching Hydrogen and eFuel production realities with market requirements. In previous roles in a world-leading EPC Company he was responsible for the development and deployment of Operational Optimizers for Electrolysis as well as the Data driven operational optimization of Steam Cracker. Richard holds Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT); Fluid Mechanics & Energetics from Grenoble INP, as well as an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Energy Economics.

Sarah Wilkin is the entrepreneurial founder and CEO of Fly Green Alliance, which was the first sustainable aviation fuel (SAFs) alliance developed globally.

She has pioneered and evangelized carbon reduction through SAFs, after presenting the case to booking.com in 2018 and being awarded a grant by booking.com to work on the R&D and market development, and has now gone onto pioneer the use of nuclear to decarbonise the supply chain of aviation and for use within the eFuel process.

Speaking at World Nuclear Association and International Atomic Energy Agency events to discuss the case of aviation decarbonisation.

She is a keen innovator, deemed trailblazer and thought leader in green travel having supported groups such as Amex Business Travel and large insurance firms to gain their corporate strategy, and is now bringing her knowledge of the blockers of public perception and corporate uptake to support the nuclear sector to grow investment and develop the application uses and end-user offtakes.

Sarah and FGA are part of the World Nuclear Association 'end user group' representing aviation and was one of the founding signatories of the "Tripling of nuclear by 2050" announced at CERAWeek alongside Google, Dow and Amazon.

Sarah is working on bringing the aviation sector into the ecosystem through the new "Nuclear for eFuel Initiative" which she is developing with the Hydrogen Energy Association and the Nuclear Hydrogen Initiative.

Xin Tu is a Professor and Chair of Plasma Catalysis in the Department of Electrical Engineering and Electronics at the University of Liverpool.

His research focuses on plasma electrification for Power-to-X processes, including ammonia synthesis/cracking, CO2 conversion, CH4 conversion, biogas conversion, hydrogen production and biomass/plastic conversion.

He has published over 240 peer-reviewed papers in leading international journals, including Nat. Rev. Mater., Chem, Nat. Commun.,

JACS and Angew. Chem. He has delivered more than 110 invited talks at major national and international conferences and has chaired and co-chaired seven international conferences and workshops.

Prof. Tu has received several prestigious awards, including the 2024 William Crookes Prize, jointly sponsored by the European Physical Society and Institute of Physics.

He served as the lead editor of the book “Plasma Catalysis: Fundamentals and Applications” (Springer Nature, 2019) and co-led the 2020 Plasma Catalysis Roadmap (J. Phys. D: Appl. Phys.).

As a pioneering innovator in this field, he holds 6 patents for distinct plasma Power-to-X processes. In addition to his academic achievements, Prof. Tu is the Co-Founder and Chief Scientific Officer (CSO) of Plasma2X Ltd, a cleantech start-up dedicated to green ammonia and fertiliser production. Recently, his innovation in plasma-catalytic CO2-to-methanol technology was shortlisted as a finalist in the 2025 Royal Society of Chemistry Emerging Technologies Competition.

Dr. Anne Krog Jensen has a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and has worked 20 years at Haldor Topsoe A/S, 3 years for COWI A/S, and 3 years for Blue Power Partners A/S.
 
Dr. Anne Krog Jensen’s core competencies encompass a wide range of technologies, including Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), Electrolysis (ELZ), Ammonia synthesis (NH3), Methanol synthesis (MeOH), Carbon Capture (CC), Underground CO2 storage (CCS), Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG), Fischer-Tropsch/Sustainable Aviation Fuel (FT/SAF), Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), Pyrolysis and gasification, transmission pipeline, and Water Purification (WPU).
 
She has expertise with design, procurement, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of chemical plants. Within the last years, she has been working exclusively with project development of PtX complex, including techno-economic optimization of a dynamic operating plant.

Arlette Nieuwesteeg is an Analyst in SkyNRG's Future Fuels team. With SkyNRG's mission to become a SAF major, the team focuses on three main areas:

Dr. Felix Habermeyer joined HIF Global in June 2023. He holds a Master’s degree in chemical engineering from RWTH Aachen University.

Dr. Catherine Laroche holds a PhD in Chemical Engineering and has worked 25 years at IFP Energies Nouvelles, a French Research &Innovation Institute in the fields of energy, transport and the environment.

Malte Gierse is a Group Manager for Power-to-X synthesis at the Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems in Freiburg.

Katrine Andersen Elsøe is a chemical engineer (PhD) with specialized experience in hydrogen and Power-to-X (PtX) technologies since 2012.

She works as Technical Solution Architect, Chief Consultant at Ramboll managing technical scopes of PtX solutions for Rambolls clients an acting as hydrogen and PtX subject matter expert.

Throughout her career, Katrine has played a central role in project development and execution, from early ideation to technical delivery.

She has served as technical lead on multiple PtX initiatives, including large-scale electrolysis projects with international companies.

Her responsibilities have included stakeholder management, contract negotiations, OEM assessment and acting as a technical counterpart to procurement and business development teams, ensuring alignment between technical feasibility and commercial strategy
