Estela Corbacho is an industrial engineer with over 15 years of international experience in the gas and energy sector, having worked in design, operations and maintenance, project management, and development. Currently, she is focused on advancing hydrogen and derivatives projects at FRV, where she has been contributing to sustainable energy solutions for the past two years as H2 Project Lead.
Cyril Dufau-Sansot has been CEO and co-founder of the Hy2gen Group since 2017.
Under his leadership, Hy2gen is a global leader in the development, financing, construction, and operation of 100% carbon-free plants to produce green hydrogen and derivatives.
Prior to founding Hy2gen, Cyril served as President and CEO of AREVA H2GEN, where he successfully transformed the company into a leading manufacturer of PEM electrolysers. His
tenure at AREVA H2GEN was marked by significant advances in the production of CO2-free hydrogen. Before his role at AREVA H2GEN, Cyril was the Managing Director at Viessmann Industrie France.

Prior joining SMBC Group Martin spent 11 years in business development covering upstream and H2&CCUS at bp Plc and 6 years in M&A with UniCredit energy team. Martin has an extensive experience in respective EU based regulation across H2 and its derivatives including commercial experience negotiating commercial contracts
During his career in bp he worked on upstream transactions covering arctic, unconventionals including oil sands and conventional upstream oil & gas developments globally. Most recently he focused on developing H2 & CCUS project as a lead on H2Teesside and HyGreen in Teesside UK and supported other H2 & CCUS projects in the Northwest Europe, Middle East and Australia. During his work he was responsible to manage overall relationship with key internal and external stakeholders, negotiating agreements and actively working with governments on H2&CCUS business models.

Dr. Anne Krog Jensen has a PhD in Chemical Engineering, and has worked 20 years at Haldor Topsoe A/S, 3 years for COWI A/S, and 3 years for Blue Power Partners A/S.
Dr. Anne Krog Jensen’s core competencies encompass a wide range of technologies, including Steam Methane Reforming (SMR), Electrolysis (ELZ), Ammonia synthesis (NH3), Methanol synthesis (MeOH), Carbon Capture (CC), Underground CO2 storage (CCS), Synthetic Natural Gas (SNG), Fischer-Tropsch/Sustainable Aviation Fuel (FT/SAF), Direct Reduced Iron (DRI), Pyrolysis and gasification, transmission pipeline, and Water Purification (WPU).

Arlette Nieuwesteeg is an Analyst in SkyNRG's Future Fuels team. With SkyNRG's mission to become a SAF major, the team focuses on three main areas:
(1) R&D SAF projects,

Dr. Tobias Block is an industrial engineer and senior consultant public affairs, strategy and communication. He is an all-rounder when it comes to technical, economic and political challenges at the interface between renewable energies and the automotive industry. As head of strategy and content he coordinates the activities of the eFuel Alliance e.V., a platform with more than 170 member companies for the market ramp-up of hydrogen-derived synthetic fuels. After studying energy and environmental management at the University of Flensburg he obtained his doctorate on hydrogen and eFuels business models at the University of St. Gallen. Following his studies, he worked for more than five years in the technical development department of AUDI AG, including on the commissioning of the first industrial power-to-gas plant, electricity procurement concepts, and the market launch of various natural gas vehicles. As the success of synthetic fuels depends more on the political framework conditions than on technical solutions, he joined the German Association of the Automotive Industry (Verband der Automobilindustrie e.V.) in the summer of 2018 and coordinated the political activities related to renewable fuels for more than two years – initially in Berlin and later from Brussels. In February 2021 he joined the consultancy von Beust & Collegen.
Dr Chris Malins is an independent consultant on alternative fuels and climate change mitigation and the founder of Cerulogy. He works for clients in government, industry and the NGO sector on issues including renewable fuel policy, carbon removals, lifecycle analysis, and land use change, in both the EU and U.S. markets.
Prior to forming Cerulogy Dr Malins spent six years as the fuels lead of the International Council on Clean Transportation. He has a doctorate in Applied Mathematics from Sheffield University.
Ulf Neuling joined Agora Verkehrswende in 2022, where he heads up work on renewable fuels. He is concerned with a range of topics, including the use of electricity-based fuels in air and sea transport, and the potential for the transport sector to rely on other energy carriers, such as hydrogen and biofuels. From 2018 to 2022, Ulf was in charge of the Renewable Fuels Group at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Energy Economics (IUE) at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). In this role, in addition to advising the Federal Ministry of Transport on the design of its Mobility and Fuel Strategy, he evaluated various production paths for renewable fuels, including hydrogen, biofuels, and electricity-based fuels. From 2014 to 2018, he was employed as a research assistant at IUE, where he completed his doctorate with a technical and economic analysis of various production processes for biokerosene.
David started from the ground up, starting off studying the quantum physics of solar PV materials, before shifting to energy economics and climate policy.
He leverages his physics background and experience in modelling a wide range of energy markets across Australia, Central, Eastern, and South-eastern Europe, as well as emerging markets like Morocco and Georgia, to provide high impact and deeply insightful analysis.

Through its infrastructure, storage capacity and knowledge provided by the port and its terminals it provides energy for aviation, maritime and road transport purposes. As Commercial manager Joey has the privilege to attract new companies to our port with a focus on renewable fuels and chemicals. Biofuels, hydrogen and e-fuels are key alternatives to decarbonise the transport sector. Geert joined T&E in July 2019 after a decade in advocacy roles in Brussels for organisations representing civil society and industry. Geert’s main focus is the Renewable Energy Directive. In particular, he leads T&E’s work on policies to promote sustainable transport fuels such as renewable electricity and green hydrogen and e-fuels and how they can help decarbonize ships and planes. In previous positions, Geert worked on a host of environmental and energy dossiers, ranging from Ecodesign and Energy Labelling policies, Energy Performance of Buildings Directive to a campaign to ban fracking for shale gas. Geert hails from Belgium, but also has Canadian citizenship. He holds a law degree from the University of Ghent, a masters in European studies from KU Leuven and a PhD in political science from the University of Alberta.
Rob Stevens holds an MSc and PhD degree in Chemical Engineering from Delft University of Technology, and joined Topsoe in June 2023 as the Sector Lead for Green Fuels within Power-to-X at Topsoe.
Rob has held various pivotal global roles, focusing on ammonia production management and more recently serving as VP of technology scouting, decarbonization, and shipping fuels. As technology opportunities expert at a green financing start-up, Rob expanded his knowledge in climate technologies.
As a thought leader Rob contributed to international clean ammonia energy position papers and ammonia fuel shipping studies.
Rob is board member to Horisont Energi, a clean ammonia and CO2 storage project developer.
Rob is VP Past President at the Ammonia Energy Association.

As CCO of Norsk e-Fuel AS, Lars Bjørn Larsen plays a pivotal role in driving the strategic projects and business development of the company. With a PhD in strategy and management and a rich history in executive roles across the industrial and renewable energy sector, Lars Bjørn’s leadership is integral to establishing industrial-scale production of e-Fuels. His extensive experience includes company development, managing financial strategies, securing funding, and leading infrastructure projects.
Jaime holds a MSc in Chemical Engineering and MSc in Petroleum Engineering, and has +20 years’ experience in the energy industry.
Currently he works in European Energy as the Head of Power to X projects for Americas, Australia and Iberia where his main responsibilities are PtX project development, business development, strategic partnerships, biogas and carbon capture. In addition, he is the Deputy CEO for Ammongas a biogas upgrade and carbon capture company, subsidiary of European Energy.
Prior to European Energy, he worked for Hess Corporation and Maersk drilling holding several leadership and technical positions ranging from Engineering, Project development, Corporate Finance and Strategy where he has been in onshore and offshore roles both leadership and individual contributor, and also in different locations such as New York, Houston, Copenhagen, West Africa, Spain and offshore. In addition, he serves in the Board of Ammongas and is also a guest lecturer in the Technical University of Denmark on subjects such as carbon capture and energy infrastructure investments.
Martin joined the project finance team at SMBC Group in 2022.
Prior joining SMBC Group Martin spent 11 years in business development covering upstream and H2&CCUS at bp Plc and 6 years in M&A with UniCredit energy team. Martin has an extensive experience in respective EU based regulation across H2 and its derivatives including commercial experience negotiating commercial contracts
During his career in bp he worked on upstream transactions covering arctic, unconventionals including oil sands and conventional upstream oil & gas developments globally. Most recently he focused on developing H2 & CCUS project as a lead on H2Teesside and HyGreen in Teesside UK and supported other H2 & CCUS projects in the Northwest Europe, Middle East and Australia. During his work he was responsible to manage overall relationship with key internal and external stakeholders, negotiating agreements and actively working with governments on H2&CCUS business models.
Before joining bp Martin worked at UniCredit where his was responsible for all stages of M&A process covering energy transactions in Central and Eastern Europe such as privatization of vertically integrated utilities, buy and sell of power generation assets including renewables and district heating companies.
Martin holds an LLM in Petroleum Taxation and Finance from the CEPMLP at University Dundee (2011), an MBA in Financial Management from the Central Queensland University in Australia (2006) and MSc in Transport and Communication from the University Pardubice in the Czech Republic (2004). Martin speaks Czech and English fluently.
Andy Navarrete is a Researcher on the International Council for Clean Transportation Fuels team and is based in the San Francisco office. His work focuses on how policy can enable the replacement of fossil fuels with sustainable alternatives in difficult to decarbonize transportation sectors, with a particular focus on Power-to-Liquids pathways. Prior to joining the ICCT, Andy was a post-doctoral researcher at the University of Southern California where he worked on a Department of Energy funded project testing the feasibility of open-ocean seaweed cultivation for biofuel production. He holds a Ph.D. in Molecular and Cell Biology from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor’s degree in Marine
Biology from UCLA.
Ulf Neuling joined Agora Verkehrswende in 2022, where he heads up work on renewable fuels. He is concerned with a range of topics, including the use of electricity-based fuels in air and sea transport, and the potential for the transport sector to rely on other energy carriers, such as hydrogen and biofuels. From 2018 to 2022, Ulf was in charge of the Renewable Fuels Group at the Institute of Environmental Engineering and Energy Economics (IUE) at the Hamburg University of Technology (TUHH). In this role, in addition to advising the Federal Ministry of Transport on the design of its Mobility and Fuel Strategy, he evaluated various production paths for renewable fuels, including hydrogen, biofuels, and electricity-based fuels. From 2014 to 2018, he was employed as a research assistant at IUE, where he completed his doctorate with a technical and economic analysis of various production processes for biokerosene.
Estela Corbacho is an industrial engineer with over 15 years of international experience in the gas and energy sector, having worked in design, operations and maintenance, project management, and development. Currently, she is focused on advancing hydrogen and derivatives projects at FRV, where she has been contributing to sustainable energy solutions for the past two years as H2 Project Lead.
With a background in finance and a passion for clean energy solutions, Mathilda joined Crédit Agricole CIB (CACIB) in 2016 and has been working as Chargée d’affaires on Low Carbon and Hydrogen topics since 2021. The Low Carbon & Hydrogen team is sector-based working specifically on hydrogen and low carbon solutions, including e-fuels and CCUS, to assist clients in the development and financing of their projects and initiatives.
As Head of Division at NOW GmbH, Korinna Jörling is responsible for renewable fuels, maritime applications and climate-friendly aviation. In this role, she advises the Federal Ministry for Digital and Transport Affairs (BMDV) on the market uptake of climate technologies. In her previous position as Senior Consultant at Guidehouse, she advised German ministries and the European Commission on energy transition policy. She holds a Master's degree in Environmental Policy & Regulation from the London School of Economics.
Pim is Aker Carbon Capture’s Regional Sales Director for their operations across continental Europe. He holds an MSc in Chemical Engineering as well as in Business Management. Having started as a Process Engineer at Imperial Chemical Industries (ICI) in syngas technology, he subsequently engaged in several techno-commercial roles in a wide range of industries, from petrochemicals to food and beverage.
In the last five years, Pim has been supporting asset owners in their sustainability endeavors, first as a Commercial Director at an advanced heat recovery start-up and now in carbon capture and its value chain.
Piyush is the Senior Business Developer for Hydrogen at Vattenfall, in the Business Area Wind. He holds an MSc degree in Chemical Engineering from TU Delft. Before joining Vattenfall, Piyush served as the Business Development Director for Hydrogen at Royal HaskoningDHV, where he supported clients in EMEA and APAC in the energy and chemicals sectors with their decarbonization strategies, M&A projects, and large-scale hydrogen production projects. In 2018, he was honored as one of the 14 Young Talented Engineers by the Royal Society of Engineers (KIVI) in
the Netherlands.
David Dwek is a Senior Analyst in the Future Fuels department at SkyNRG. The Future Fuels team runs over a dozen projects with the aim of developing new SAF production capacity in cooperation with technology suppliers and other partners. The aim of these projects is the commercialization of future SAF production pathways by assessing the technological and economic viability. The department also carries out research activities and offers extensive advisory services. The latter is led by David and covers a wide range of SAF topics and feasibility assessments. David has a BSc Aviation from the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and a MSc Management of Technology from Delft University of Technology.
Henry has overall responsibility for ING’s Hydrogen activities in EMEA and has been a member of the Hydrogen team since its inception in early 2020. Henry joined ING in 2010 working in its structured finance Shipping team in London. Since then, he has held roles within Offshore Energy covering the Americas from ING’s New York office and since 2018 has been part of the bank’s Energy Sector coverage team based in Amsterdam. He has been involved in several transactions advising clients in raising capital & debt for Hydrogen related projects (including e-fuels) as well as structuring project finance debt. Alongside these activities, Henry has 15 years of Project Finance experience, covering core Energy infrastructure markets especially Mid-&Downstream companies and assets (processing, storage, transportation) within the oil, gas and petrochemical sectors.
Rahul Malik is a Consulting Manager at S&P Global, leading the Biofuels and E-Fuel Consulting Study for the EMEA region. Being part of S&P Commodity Insights division, Rahul Malik involves in consulting assignments in the Energy sector primarily focusing on due diligence, corporate strategy development and decision making, investment analysis, Decarbonization strategy studies and market fundamentals analysis.
As CAPITAL magazine “Top 40 under 40” and Handelsblatt x Boston Consulting Group VordenkerInnen 2022 awardee and co-founder, Philipp leads as CEO at INERATEC. His strong background as M.Sc. in industrial and business engineering helps INERATEC in the field of company building, product strategy, as well as business strategy roles in plant engineering and project development. Previously working as a consultant, he established strategies for the automotive and chemical industry. There is no better job for Philipp than working actively against climate change.
Dr. Asif Ansar currently holds the position of Head of the Department of Energy System Integration (ESI) at the German Aerospace Center (DLR). His primary focus centers around the development of technologies aimed at reducing carbon intensity in both waterborne and airborne transport sectors. To achieve this, his department, comprising a dedicated team of over 70 professionals, concentrates on advancing the domains of Fuel Cell and Battery powertrains, as well as the generation of hydrogen and its derivatives through cutting-edge Electrolyser technologies. The laboratories are equipped with comprehensive experimental facilities spanning both laboratory to pilot-scale operations. Dr. Ansar's has also served as a member of the Roadmap Leaders Committee of the EU Clean Hydrogen and a steering board member of the EERA Fuel Cell and Hydrogen. He has authored over 80 published papers, multiple book chapters, and secured 10 patents. He attained his doctorate from the University of Limoges, France in 2004.
Oleksandr Siromakha is the Head of Sustainable Fuels at Mabanaft, a leading independent fuel supplier. With over 17 years of expertise in energy trading and logistics, project development, and strategic planning, he is driving Mabanaft's shift towards CO2-neutral solutions, including e-fuels, advanced biofuels, green hydrogen, and hydrogen derivatives.
Before joining Mabanaft, Oleksandr was an Integrated Business Development Manager at the Marquard & Bahls Group, where he focused on strategic corporate growth. He also led the marketing and market analysis department at Oiltanking.
Oleksandr holds a Master's degree in Economics from the University of Konstanz, where he specialized in climate-related studies, enhancing his understanding of sustainable energy management.
Dr. Charlie McKinlay is a researcher in the field of maritime decarbonisation and is the Fuels and Technologies Lead at the Lloyd Register’s (LR) Maritime Decarbonisation Hub, where he one of the key team leads for The Silk Alliance Green Corridor Cluster initiative for shipping focused on bunkering alternative fuels in Singapore. Charlie’s professional research expertise focuses on clean maritime fuels, encompassing the whole value chain, from sustainable and scalable supply chains to efficient onboard deployment. Charlie holds a PhD in Dynamic Energy System Modelling from the University of Southampton, where he researched into transition technologies for viable zero emissions shipping solutions, such as fuel cells, energy saving technologies, and smart energy management. Richard Grzemba joined Andritz in June 2024 as Market Development Manager. Richard drives forward techno-economic optimization of eFuel–Projects, matching Hydrogen and eFuel production realities with market requirements. In previous roles in a world-leading EPC Company he was responsible for the development and deployment of Operational Optimizers for Electrolysis as well as the Data driven operational optimization of Steam Cracker. Richard holds Master degrees in Mechanical Engineering from Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT); Fluid Mechanics & Energetics from Grenoble INP, as well as an MBA from Collège des Ingénieurs. Currently, he is pursuing his PhD in Energy Economics.
After a spell at Crédit Agricole's startup accelerator, Hortense moved on to support renewable energy startups at European investor EIT InnoEnergy. For almost 3 years, she opened the French market to nearly a dozen European startups. She finally joined the European Green Hydrogen Acceleration Center (EGHAC), EIT InnoEnergy's Venture Builder, which launches ex-nihilo industrial companies in the hard-to-abate sectors (e.g GravitHy, FertigHy). Hortense holds a BA of Laws from University of Paris and a MSc in Management from University School of Management in Grenoble.
Mr. Anders Nimgaard Schultz is educated as Chemical Engineer from the Technical University in Denmark. He has throughout his carrier worked in the energy business with topics related to environmental and climate improvements.
Mr. Schultz has since 2000 taken up different managerial positions in equipment supplier, energy utilities and consultancy companies and he therefore has in depth knowledge of the different businesses involved in transforming to a more sustainable world. Mr. Schultz joined Ramboll in 2011 and is leading Ramboll’s Market for consultancy services within all parts of the hydrogen & Power-to-X value chain from production to distribution.
Claes Fredriksson has many years of experience developing renewable energy solutions internationally. He has held leading positions in large international corporations and innovative start-up companies.
In 2015 he became aware of the possibility to create carbon neutral methanol. In 2017 Claes founded Liquid Wind and since then, he has been working relentlessly to assemble an expert team and world-class partnerships with global companies to bring green electrofuel, in form of eMethanol, to market at scale with the ambition to electrify Swedish and international shipping.
Bijan Cour is the Director of Power to Gas at Hitachi Zosen Inova (HZI), which he joined in 2021. He is leading the development of HZI new products and innovations in green hydrogen, catalytic and biological methanation and the commercialisation of turnkey power to gas plants built by HZI. With a continuous passion for technical innovation and the energy landscape, he started his career in engineering mainly involved as project manager in the design and construction of LNG plants. His career brought him to India, China and Asia Pacific, taking various leadership positions, from R&D, HSE, operations in manufacturing to business development of high-performance materials. Prior to joining HZI he was Managing Director of Fives Solios an engineering company delivering turnkey EPC plants and equipment to the primary Aluminium sector, with a strong focus on environmental solutions. Bijan holds an MBA from Insead and a Masters Degree in Engineering from Ecole Polytechnique.
Sarah Wilkin is founder & CEO of FGA, a Booking.com grantee in 2018 when herself and Professor Shiju Raveendran at University of Amsterdam, chemical engineer and catalyst specialist, gained a sustainable travel grant to work on the R&D of sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) which was a milestone for SAF awareness, being the first time the tech had been given attention outside of the aviation industry.
Previously she worked in digital, advertising and market research before switching careers in 2018, and brought this knowledge to sustainable aviation developments to push innovation and carbon reduction in the area as well as bring a new perspective.
Sarah went on to introduce and pioneer the concept of turning SAF into a credit/unit in 2019 for access for and cost sharing with the business travel sector, gaining approval from global certification body Gold Standard, which has lead to other mechanisms being developed by industry SAF leaders as well as the Book & Claim approach. She also supported Amex Global Business Travel on their SAF strategy and Formula E and has other leaders in SAF.
Sarah is now developing work across multiple sectors to speed up the acceleration of net zero in travel through consultancy, education, and development of new business models. This was a judge on the Business Travel Sustainability Awards, they created a documentary called the Golden Bullet and have now launched in their new community and B2B support for ESG professionals called "In the loop".
In his role Markus leads the Innovation Business Platform Renewable Hydrogen & PtX and is responsible for the development of new value chains and commercial opportunities in the field of Renewable Hydrogen & PtX in Neste. Markus has joined Neste in July 1st 2020 leading the Innovation Business Platform Lignocellulosic Fuels & Materials. Prior to this he has, among other tasks, been responsible for the development and commercialization of novel technology for the conversion of cellulosic feedstock into advanced biofuels and biobased chemicals. He has supported and lead product and process development projects from idea creation to commercial scale deployment and closed among others cooperation, commercial sales and out-licensing contracts in Europe and China. Markus studied Biotechnology at the Technical University of Berlin. He graduated as Dr.-Ing. at the Institute of Biotechnology at the Technical University Berlin. As a Postdoc he worked at the Institute of Biochemical Kinetics at the Max-Planck-Institute for Biophysical Chemistry, Göttingen, in the team of Nobel laureate Prof. Manfred Eigen.
Samantha Michaux is a strategic Business Development Manager at INERATEC, where she focuses on creating and executing market-entry strategies to position eFuels as a cornerstone of sustainable energy solutions. With expertise in defining and qualifying business opportunities, Samantha drives strategic partnerships and business growth initiatives that align with INERATEC’s mission. Her role also encompasses shaping funding proposals and exploitation strategies that support the commercialization of eFuels. In her previous role as a Senior Project Manager at Steinbeis 2i GmbH, Samantha successfully managed European funding projects, leveraging her strategic planning and business acumen to help companies scale and achieve their innovation potential across international markets.
Ilayda works on the Clean Industry & Transport team as Business manager Renewable Fuels & Chemicals. At the port she works with the aim to create a sustainable and renewable industry by working together with current clients and new opportunities for the future of the Port of Rotterdam.
