The supply chains have become the multi-structural dynamic systems vulnerable to disruptions with a significant impact on entities business and performance. In modern times, supply chain risk management is used to identify the potential sources of risks, their possible influences and propagation trough the supply chain as well as to plan and implement appropriate actions in order to remove, reduce or mitigate supply chain disruptions.
The uniquely volatile business environment of the past year has brought to the forefront of the business agenda the supply chain vulnerabilities they face. For some, this could signal a change in practices in the future to increase supply chain resilience - whether that’s looking at near shoring and onshoring, reintroducing back-up stock in warehouses or installing alternative production sites
Critical factors for business success are no longer limited to quality, competence and diligent financial management, but are more than ever driven by effective steering and risk management along the entire value chain. Ensuring the resilience, efficiency and agility of supply chains, combined with the need to demonstrate responsible supply chain practices pose important challenges to today’s businesses. Managing risk has become a crucial challenge for supply chain managers due to growing global competition, rising cost pressures, increasing customer expectations, geopolitics and ever-increasing complexity.
As organisations continue down the path of introspection and question how to best structure their supply chains and manage their risk, it becomes ever-more crucial that risk managers understand the full extent of the vulnerabilities
The adoption of digital technologies and sensor technology, combined with the power of digital connectivity, is changing the way organisations and stakeholders are accessing and using supply chain data because it will allow businesses to more accurately see their pain points and protect themselves against all kinds of risks that wouldn't have been covered before
The 2nd Annual Supply Chain Risk and Resilience Forum has been designed to provide strategic insight and overview of managing supply chain risks, but also challenging consequences of the global pandemic on the field, redefinition of supplier relationships, adopting digital technologies and sensor technology to improve risk & resilience, best practices for cyber supply chain risk management and implementing successful supply chain risk management techniques and much more! This interactive business conference will present you cross-industry supply chain and risk leaders who will reveal their key strategies standing behind their success.
